• <br /> I � <br /> CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY March 17, 1998 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic <br /> Development Committee held their regular scheduled meeting on <br /> March 17, 1998. Chairperson Tim Rehbine called the meeting to <br /> order at 7:10 P.M. Present: Mary Capra, Theresa Brenner, Jim <br /> March, John Magill. <br /> Approval of February 1996 Minutes <br /> Motion by Mary Capra to approve the February 1996 meeting <br /> minutes, second by John Madill. All in favor. <br /> Downtown Revitalization <br /> Jim March did not have any updates on the meeting with Lean <br /> Johnson as he has been out of town. <br /> Jim March stated that the bank that is considering going in at <br /> the corner of Dupre & Main Street is looking for a new design and <br /> will be resubmitting a new plan. Planning & Zoning turned down <br /> the rezoning and vacation of property on this parcel due to time <br /> constraints and lack or information from the bank <br /> representatives. <br /> Theresa Brenner stated the handout dated 10/28/97 from the MN <br /> Design Team shows ways to help out other than lust cash <br /> donations. The screening visit is scheduled for April 1/, 1998 <br /> at 9:30 A.M. At this time the MN Desion Team will no over the <br /> application and be looking for more information. <br /> Theresa Brenner also stated that Sarah Lieffinger of 1724 <br /> Heritage St. is interested in .joining the DownTown Revitalization <br /> Committee. <br /> The Committee decided to hold the next meeting on Pprii lvth <br /> rather than the 21st so we can handle anything that may need to <br /> be handled before the MN Design Team screening visit. <br /> Jim March stated the Rice Creek Watershed District was holding an <br /> informational meeting_ at City Hall on the 18th of March for water <br /> quality treatment of the lakes. <br /> Star City Goals & Objectives <br /> Welcome Neighbor Program <br /> John Magill suggested putting together lust a page or two of <br /> coupons of all the interested business on it this time rather <br /> than the individual cards. <br /> Business Appreciation Dinner <br /> The 4th Annual Business Appreciation Dinner will be held on <br /> 19th, 5:00 P.M. at City Hall. It was decided to grill again, <br /> have the Mayor give an update of what is happening in the City <br /> and a Design Team Update. <br />
