Ordinance # 5- Discharge of Firearms. <br /> The Council briefly discussed discharge of firearms and due to the perceived conflict the Council took the <br /> following action: <br /> Motion by Councilmember Sweeney, seconded by Councilmember Travis to table and place notice <br /> of the firearm ordinance hearing in the next newsletter. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Interim Use Permit Redi -Mix Operation <br /> Mayor Wilharber noted receipt of a letter that expressed opposition of issuing the Interim Use Permit for <br /> the Redi -Miix Operation. Councilmember Brenner requested the permit be renewed annually and that the <br /> Council have the luxury to remove the facility if so deemed. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Travis, seconded by Councilmember Sweeney to approve the Interim <br /> Special Use Permit with noted changes. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Further Discussion: <br /> Mr. Hoeft recommended to change the Interim Use Permit (IUP) language to indicate the time limitation <br /> and to change the permit to reflect " reasonable cost, including legal fees." Councilmember Brenner <br /> requested approval be contingent upon the rezoning. Councihi,onnber Sweeney confirmed that the IUP <br /> will depict that by the Council vote. Mr. Shudy agreed to the amendments. <br /> Friendly amendment accepted; to include language and time limitation of one year, with an administrative <br /> renewal clause. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Council/Commission /Committee Recognition Plaques <br /> The Council discussed establishing city participants through Anoka County Election records and Staff <br /> shared that the County does not have City election result records. The Council agreed to have name <br /> plates for city participates serving a minimal of two years beginning in 1980. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Nelson. seconded by Councilmember Travis to approve recognizing <br /> citizens that are public servants for 2 year minimums and to purchase plaques for: Mayor, Council, <br /> Planning Commission, EDC, Park and Recreation and to recognize those persons from 1980 to <br /> present. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Animal Ordinance #24 <br /> Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Travis suggested to the Planning <br /> & Zun;n; that mention "ail" animals and to table at Council after <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendation. Wilharber, Sweeney, Brenner. Nelson, <br /> aye - Travis nay. Motion carried. <br /> Consider Audit Report <br /> Motion by Councilmember Sweeney. seconded by Councilmember Nelson to accept the Audit <br /> Report as submitted.
