MEMO
DATE: 08/20/99
TO: City Council
FROM: Jim March
Aimee Fairbrother
RE: Acorn Creek Park
The Park and Recreation Committee in conjunction with the Centerville Neighborhood Network
has been researching and visiting parks developed by vendors selected for the development of
Acorn Creek Park. As a result, the group came to the following consensus:
Motion by Mr. Porter based on the review process done by CNN, Park and Recreation members
and interested citizens, to accept the proposal presented by Game Time, MN/WI Playground Inc.
(with room for adjustments) and to advise the City Council to proceed with the first stage of
development of Acorn Creek Park. Motion seconded by Mr. Brown. All in favor. Motion
carried.
I will be contacting the Department of Natural Resources to make sure that the playground
equipment selected will be acceptable to the DNR. Based on the DNB's approval, I would
recommend that the Council enter into the formal grant agreement for this project.
Members of CNN will be in attendance at the Council meeting.
