July 16, 1999
Harlan Lehman
GameTime Inc.
P.O. Box 27328
Golden Valley, MN 55427
Dear Mr. Lehman,
We would like to thank you for presenting GameTime to us on July 12 concerning equipment for Acorn
Creek Park located in Centerville, MN. The bidding for this park will not be going public, but instead will
be bid by three vendors of our choosing. We are sending vendors a letter with information that should be
helpful in preparing their proposals. The following information is what was provided to them.
• the park area is 3 1/2 level acres surrounded by houses, woods and a pond
• our budget for equipment is $45,000
• the park will be installed by volunteers
We will be installing two play areas; a smaller area for 2 -5 yr. olds and a larger play area for 5 -12 yr. olds.
We would like the larger play structure to be connected by bridges to form a diamond shape. Some of the
equipment we would like included is as follows:
• swings
• four seat teeters
• spring riders
• rock or climbing wall
• spiral slides
• balance beam
• stepping stones
• track ride
• climbing net
• triple wide slide
We will be basing our decision primarily on cost as well as:
• safety
• quality
• durability
• maintenance and warranties
• labor time
• style & design
Please include in your proposal the timeline for ordering, receiving and installing, the dollar estimate for
the play structure, set -up supervisor arrangement and any elements or features that you feel will help us in
our decision making process.
The Centerville Park & Recreation Committee will make final vendor recommendations on Acorn Creek
Park on Monday, August 9`". Results will be mailed. Final plans will need to meet and be approved by the
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Please call me with any questions or concerns at (651) 429-
3232. Again, we would like to thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Aimee Fairbrother
