FDL Voting results <br /> Approval - Next meeting held on Thursday January 20 at 6:30, Centerville City Hall. <br /> Approval - Carnival and midway will be held at Laurie LaMotte Park. <br /> Approval - Parade Planning's proposed $5000 budget. <br /> Approval - Jim's request for a preliminary budget by February's meeting from the <br /> remaining committees. (Advertising, Sport/Toumey's. Street Dance, and <br /> Carnival/Midway) <br /> Tabled — Business Exhibit <br /> Tabled - Buttons <br /> FDL Action Items <br /> Aimee will submit a letter to St. Genevieve's Church Council requesting the use of the <br /> 15 -acre field during the celebration for parking. <br /> Ray and Bill will prepare a list of bands along with a budget for the street dance <br /> Michael will talk with his daughter and her friends to determine what events "teen's" <br /> would be interested in seeing at the celebration. <br /> Jim will check on insurance riders /issues for the entire celebration. <br /> Ray will submit a letter to Centerville Lion's President Dave Lutz, requesting their <br /> confirmation as a beer vendor for the celebration. <br /> Ray will get Doug a copy the initial book from the FDL committee. <br /> Sue will talk to EDC Member Mary Capra about incorporating the presentation of <br /> "Business/Citizen of the Year" and " Lifetime Achievement" Awards at the festival. Sue <br /> will also ask Mary about the boy scouts interest in hosting a pancake breakfast during the <br /> celebration. <br /> Committee Reports <br /> Financing — Jim presented a sponsorship letter he created that would allow business to <br /> donate funds to the celebration, while being provided with a variety of local advertising. <br /> The committee reviewed the letter and added to the ideas listed. Jim will revise the letter <br /> based on the committee's comments and develop a mailing list. <br /> Tournaments — Bill, Monica and Michael are continuing to work on incorporating <br /> volleyball, softball, soccer and golf tournaments into the celebration, as well as a <br /> marathon. Michael Navin will prepare a budget for the soccer events for submittal in <br /> January. <br />
