Provide instruction and education on safety programs to local schools. f. Inform and educate the public in the following areas including, but tot limited to, biaycle....,safety,;.;.tours of Department, safety seminars at -local—shopping centers, McGruff House, Safety Camp, Operation ID, and CAT Program. g. Assist officers with COP projects. h. Maintain files on bicycle licenses and business owner /key holder information. i. Provide "trouble shooting" assistance for neighborhood crime problems and work on resolution of the same. j. Performs such other duties as may be assigned. C. WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Physical Effort - Light to moderate 2. Physical Hazards - Minimal to moderate 3. May be confronted with unpredictable situations involving aggressive or possibly dangerous individuals. Section 7 - ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY (Secretary A): A. POEiTION SUMMARY - The Administrative Secretary for police, under the direction of the Chief, is responsible for providing secretarial support to the Chief and other members of the Department. Typically, this position reports to the Chief. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, composing and preparing correspondence and reports, insuring completion of assigned tasks, coordinating meetings and schedules, researching and documents responding forms, inquiries, transcribing and preparing correspondence, and performing other assigned duties.
