Bicycles - Demonstrates the lawful and proper operation <br /> and use of bicycle safety equipment. Enforces bicycle <br /> regulations and iasues warnings and citations as necessary. <br /> Takes bicycle theft reports and maintains stolen and <br /> recovered bicycle loge. Transports found bicycles to storage <br /> facility, <br /> e. Blight Enforcement - Investigates and enforces local <br /> ordinances and state statutes relating to junk vehicles and <br /> properties. Enforces health or hazardous ordinance <br /> violations. <br /> • <br /> f. May function as advisor to Police Explorer Post, <br /> supervising approved Post functions, assisting with training <br /> and other Post - related activities. <br /> g. Miscellaneous - Typical duties include, but are no <br /> limited to, vehicle transport for repairs and warranty work, <br /> traffic control at accident scenes, fires or other locations <br /> where directed. assist with eecurity at crime scenes, handle <br /> residential and vehicle lockouts, provide motorist aid, <br /> assist with vehicle impounds and inventories, perform house <br /> chocks, serve subpoenas and other legal documents, perform <br /> vehicle checks for equipment warnings, assist with missing <br /> children or vulnerable adults, perform fingerprinting, assist <br /> clerical staff as directed, enforce water bans when <br /> activated, transport evidence as requested, investigate <br /> possible traffic hazards, handle found and abandoned <br /> property, attempt to locate property owners, prepare and <br /> assist in Department's property auctions, deliver Commission <br /> packets, maintain Department property room, and perform other <br /> duties as assigned. <br /> 2.
