Blaine, MN 55434
To: Paul Palzer
From Gerald A. Fondle, V.P. Sales
Subject' Siren Maintenance
Date: September 29, 1999
Embedded Systems, Inc. has provided your city with siren maintenance for the past several years.
We have accomplished several of our goals in providing our best service. Some of these
are as follows:
1. Automated the reporting process by using the e-mail system where available.
2. Recently we came up with a summarized report that only shows the exemption or
non - responding units.
3. Improved reception with the county encoders by relocating many of the antennas.
4. Developed and designed a drop -in replacement decoder board that we call an
enhanced Decoder two (2) board. We spent one year testing at three different
locations to verify our design We selected many new components, which will extend
the life of your city's siren warning system.
5. As of the end of September 1999 we have completed an analysis of the silent test
reports and have visited all the cities and siren locations to grade them based on their
condition.
We have taken the siren maintenance very seriously and have found ways to improve a
mature system and extend it's continued operation.
Embedded Systems is offering your city continued first class maintenance at the same
cost that we have provided in these past years. That cost being $29.50 per siren, pet
month. In order to save time and money, we are asking that you provide us with a
signature on the bottom of this page.
Thank you for your past business and we look forward to servicing your needs through
the next year, 2000.
Contract terms accepted
(name)
(city)
For continuation of service through the end of the year 2000.
