Distribution of Funds from Advertising in Le Journal <br /> Council addressed the issue of the EDC retaining $25 per ad from advertisements placed <br /> in the quarterly newsletter. Council determined that the matter should be referred back to <br /> the EDC to determine what involvement EDC had in the soliciting of the advertisements <br /> for the newsletter. <br /> Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Councilmember Broussard <br /> Vickers to send this issue back to EDC and to find out what their thoughts were on <br /> this issue. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Peltier Lake Flowage <br /> Mr. March explained the issues involved in St. Paul Water Utility's selling of two parcels <br /> of surplus property. <br /> Council asked that this matter be given to the Park and Recreation Committee to see if <br /> this is a piece of land they would like to acquire. <br /> Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Travis, to refer <br /> this issue to Park and Recreation for their comments. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> CSO Ordinance <br /> Council discussed the CSO Ordinance. <br /> Motion by Council member Travis, seconded by Council member Nelson, to adopt <br /> Ordinance No. 27, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING COMMUNITY SERVICE <br /> OFFICERS /CRIME PREVENTION OFFICERS WITH THE POWER TO ISSUE <br /> CITATIONS. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Tax Increase Resolution <br /> Mr. March informed the Council that a law was passed that requires Cities to pass a <br /> resolution and file the resolution with Anoka County if the City intends to levy an <br /> amount higher than the amount the previous year. <br /> Motion by Council member Sweeney, seconded by Council member Nelson, <br /> adopting Resolution No. 99 -13, RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TAX RATE <br /> INCREASE.
