SE? -99 LON 8 :11 fib[ CTY OF FOT,E51 LAKE F AX NU. hol 4D4 4Ubb r. 1 <br /> Chapter 19 <br /> section 19.08 <br /> Sec. 19.08 USE AND POSSESSION OF FIREARMS AND OTHER <br /> WEAPONS <br /> Section 19.08 Subd. 1. <br /> No person shall fire or discharge any fire arm, BB gun, air <br /> gun or splac ball gun within the corporate limits of the <br /> City of Forest Lake, provided, however, a BB gun or air gun <br /> may be discharged within a residence or other secure <br /> enclosure and provided, further, that a fire arm, 8s gun or <br /> air gun may be discharged within the "R -3" Rural <br /> Residential Districts and all that part of the "R-1A" One <br /> Family Low- Density Residential District lying North of <br /> 232nd Street North extended easterly to Interstate Highway <br /> No. 35 and westerly of Interstate Highway No. 35. <br /> Subd. 2. Nothing in this section shall be <br /> construed to prohibit the possession of a firearm within the <br /> home or the discharge of the same when done in the lawful <br /> defense of person, property or family. <br /> Subd. 3 No person obeli fire or discharge a bow <br /> and arrow within the corporate limits of the city of Forest Lake <br /> except in a designated area with a permit issued by the Chief of <br /> Police or his designee provided, however that a bow and arrow <br /> may be fired or discharged within a residence or other secure <br /> enclosure. <br /> Subd. 4. No person shall keep, carry or have in <br /> his possession on any public street, upon the premises of <br /> another or in any public place any type of weapon having the <br /> personal assault characteristics of any sap, numchuck, <br /> blackjack, slungshot, slingshot, sand club, chain club, metal <br /> knuckles shurikens, or yawara stick. For purposes of this <br /> subdivision, the following definitions shall apply: <br /> i A. "NumohUOks" shall mean any t o <br /> device <br /> constructed of two solid c objects joined <br /> `' on one end by a chain, rope, thong, or other such material. <br /> I <br /> 8. " Shurikens" shall mean any metal device <br /> „ which has the shape of a multiple pointed star, each point <br /> ' being sharpened and primarily designed to be thrown. <br /> 1 � i • C. "Yawara stick" shall mean any <br /> hi iii cylindrical shaped object which has spheres on both ends and <br /> measures lass than ten inches in length. <br /> • <br /> rIal Subd. S. No person shall do any of the following: <br /> II A. Recklessly handle or use a firearm, <br /> other dangerous weapon or explosive so as to endanger the <br /> safety of another. <br /> 4 D. Intentionally paint a firearm or other <br /> dangerou weapon, whether loaded or unloaded, at or toward <br /> 4 `another. <br /> �' Subd. 6. No minor under the age of twelve (12) <br /> years shall handle or have in his possession or under his <br /> control except while accompanied by or under the immediate <br /> supervision of his parent or guardian, any firearm, air gun or <br /> dangerous weapon of any kind for any purpose. <br />
