CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> September2l, 1999 NOT A PPRO VED • <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic Development Committee held <br /> their regularly scheduled meeting on September 21, 1999 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> Present: Council Member Dick Travis <br /> EDC Chairperson Tim Rehbine <br /> Committee Member Mary Capra <br /> Committee Member Lori Dorn <br /> Committee Member Paul Montain <br /> Committee Member John Magill <br /> Staff: EDC /Staff Liaison Aimee Fairbrother <br /> Absent: None <br /> Appearances: Cindy Bohm, Michelle Moser and Betsy Scheller - EDC Applicants <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> EDC Chairperson Tim Rehbine called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> EDC regular meeting was proceeded by a Design Team Follow Up Session. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Ms. Capra to approve the August 17, 1999, meeting minutes. Ms. Dorn seconded the <br /> motion. Mr. Montain and Mr. Magill abstained. M in favor. Motion carried. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> DESIGN TEAM - IDEAS IN ACTION" <br /> A. City Theme: Ms. Dom indicated she was still checking into information from the <br /> Minnesota Historical Society related to historical preservation. Ms. Dorn added she will <br /> need some additional time to review and research the issues that surround historical <br /> preservation. <br /> B. Portable Exhibit: John Magill requested one of the portable exhibits be placed at Corner <br /> Express and Paul Montain requested one to be placed at Trio Inn. Ms. Fairbrother will <br /> check with Jim March to see if one can be placed at Apple Academy. The exhibits will be <br /> rotated among area businesses every two to three months. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
