will work together to complete this project.
ORDINANCE UPDATE
Ms. Fairbrother updated the committee, indicating the Planning and Zoning Commission has recently
expanded to seven members. The Commission has been concentrating primarily on the Animal
Ordinance. The Commission will be looking into the Ordinances soon, and may ask for input from
other City committees.
FETE DES LACS REVITALIZATION COMMITTEE
Ms. Fairbrother invited the committee as a whole to become part of a newly formed committee,
named the Fete des Lacs Revitalization Committee. Due to Star City Goal #1, Objective #3 which
states "Feature Businesses at the Fete des Lacs Celebration ", the committee agreed they should be
active in this event, and will place it on the September agenda.
WELCOME LETTER
The committee decided they would like to send a welcome letter to business owners in the new strip
mall, named Apple Tree Square, located on Main Street. The committee requested Ms. Fairbrother
compose a welcome letter by the September meeting for EDC approval and signatures. The
committee felt it was important to welcome all new businesses, and asked for the letter to be saved
for future use.
LINO LAKES AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Mr. Rehbine indicated the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the City of
Centerville to join the Chamber. Ms. Fairbrother indicated she would pass the information on to Jim
March to share with Council.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn at 8:21 p.m. was made by Mr. Rehbine, seconded by Ms. Dorn. Motion carried
unanimously.
Respectfully Submitted,
VNt..L L1.,0 -
Aimee Fairbroth r
EDC /Staff Liaison
