Motion by Mr. Rehbine, and seconded by Ms. Capra, to purchase materials necessary to <br /> construct three portable displays, focusing on selected Minnesota Design Team ideas, not to <br /> exceed $400 per display. <br /> STAR CITY REVIEW <br /> Ms. Fairbrother informed the committee that the Star City Goals for "2000- 2005" have been <br /> revised and updated per the committee's recommendations. <br /> Motion by Ms. Capra, and seconded by Ms. Dorn to approve the "2000- 2005" Star City <br /> Goals as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> YEAR 2000 BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS <br /> The Committee agreed to submit the EDC budget to Council requesting the same budgeted <br /> amount as 1999, which was $6,500. <br /> Motion by Mr. Rehbine, seconded by Ms. Capra to submit the Year 2000 EDC budget of <br /> $6,500 to Council. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> EDC FUND- RAISES <br /> City Merchandise: The committee reviewed sales to date. Committee members would like to <br /> promote City Merchandise during the Design Team follow up meeting in September. <br /> Photo Contest: After a brief discussion, the photo contest was removed from the agenda and re- <br /> directed to the future "media specialist ". <br /> Motion by Ms. Capra, seconded by Ms. Dorn to remove the Photo Contest from EDC's <br /> agenda. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> GRANTS/FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES <br /> Ms. Fairbrother stated after talking to Mr. March, he indicated any grants or financial opportunities <br /> of interest he becomes aware of will be passed on to EDC. <br /> GOOD NEIGHBOR PACKETS <br /> Ms. Fairbrother informed the committee the stock of Good Neighbor Packets originally ordered in <br /> 1995 have almost been depleted. A brief discussion followed resulting in the need to update the <br /> book, receive quotes on the book and placing an order. Ms. Capra, Ms. Dorn and Ms. Fairbrother <br /> Page 2 of 3 - <br />
