CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Any development plans for future trails connecting to and entering the Rice Creek <br /> Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve or additional regional trails within the park shall be discussed <br /> between the City and County for review and agreement prior to construction. <br /> V. INDEMNIFICATION <br /> The City and the County mutually agree to indemnify and hold harmless each other <br /> from any claims, losses, costs, expenses or damages resulting from the acts or omissions of the <br /> respective officers, agents, or employees relating to activities conducted by either party under this <br /> Agreement. <br /> VI. POLICE AND FIRE PROTECTION <br /> The City shall provide normal police and fire protection consistent with the level of <br /> normal service provided to the general public in the City. <br /> The County agrees to furnish park patrol personnel for the safety and well -being of <br /> the trail users and protection of the facilities in accordance with the practices and limitations of the <br /> County Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> VII. ORDINANCE <br /> The property described herein, known as Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park <br /> Reserve, shall be governed by Anoka County Ordinance No. 2000 -1, an Ordinance Regulating <br /> County Parks, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit_B and hereby made a part hereof by <br /> reference. <br /> VIII. DEFAULT <br /> If either party fails to perform any of its responsibilities as outlined herein, within 48 <br /> hours after written notification by the other party hereto, the other party may perform the task and <br /> charge the defaulting party the reasonable value of such services. <br /> -4- <br />
