Memorandum <br /> DATE : January 21, 2000 <br /> TO : Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE : Clerk/Treasurer Job Description <br /> Account Clerk Job Description <br /> Time Saver Minute Taking Proposal <br /> Included in your packet is a proposal from Time Saver Off Site Secretarial in regards to <br /> having this firm prepare the minutes for City meetings. Also included with their proposal <br /> are letters of reference and I included one sample of their minutes. <br /> We are in the process of drafting job descriptions for the two previously discussed job <br /> positions within the organization. These will be available for distribution prior to the <br /> meeting. I am also working on a cost comparison for the proposed restructuring versus <br /> replacing a full -time City Clerk. <br /> If Council approves the presented job descriptions, i would internally post the <br /> Clerk/Treasurer position for a period of three days. If there were more than one internal <br /> candidate, I would recommend that we conduct an interview for the position. I would <br /> anticipate advertising for the part-time Account Clerk next week Thursday. <br />
