• <br /> • 81 of the vehicles were traveling at or below the posted speed with 80% in the 20mph- <br /> 25mph ranges. <br /> • • Six vehicles were found to be traveling over the 30mph posted limit with the most <br /> excessive speed to be 34mph. <br /> • No citations were issued. <br /> • From the survey, CPLDP feels the travel frequency and speed fail within normal levels <br /> for a through street located in a residential area. <br /> • There is a ratio of 13:1, which means 1 vehicle out of 13 travels 2 -3 mph over the posted <br /> speed limit. <br /> Based on the above information, it is Officer Frank's belief the posted signs at Peterson i rail, <br /> Old Mill Road, Quebec and Brian Drive are adequate to control the amount and type of <br /> traffic typical in this area. <br /> Motion by Council Member Travis, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers to <br /> table the 73" Street request for placement of a stop sign on the corner of 73` Street and <br /> Quebec, untii the next City Council meeting and the interested residents have had an <br /> opportunity to speak with Officer Frank. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Construction Traffic Restriction on Brian Drive <br /> Mr. Peterson staled he spoke w 3effBoeh (Land Holding Company ), who stated he would do <br /> whatever he can to open the road up to the east, between the dead end street and 20 Ave. <br /> Mr. Boch will be contacting Eagle Trucking and request their assistance in smoothing out <br /> and opening up the area for construction traffic along with notifying equipment haulers etc. <br /> to use the opening. <br /> :vir. Wilbarber stated that possibly after the area is opened up, the City could put up signs <br /> stating "Construction Traffic — Enter on 20 Avenue ". <br /> Mr. Wilbarber added he has spoken to Chief .ioei Heckman concerning the issue of trucks <br /> entering the area, which are currently in non - compliance with the current road restrictions. <br /> Chief Beckman responded his torte would start to watch for "toad restriction" violations. <br /> Motion by Council Member Sweeney, seconded by Council Member Travis to table the <br /> construction traffic restriction on Brian Drive signage until the next City Council <br /> meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Hensel Special Use Permit Request <br /> ivir. Travis read a letter received from Margaret and Leo Hensel. Mr. and Mrs. Hensel are <br /> requesting a Special Use Permit to haul 4 tons of cement to their home at 1744 Heritage <br /> Street. The current road restriction is 3 tons. The Hensel's are constructing a 6 x 21 1/2 toot <br /> addition to the bedroom of their home at the above stated address. The cement contractor <br /> estimates a 1 -ton overage. <br /> 3 <br />
