MEETING MINUTES <br /> SEPTEMBER 6, 1994 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> Chairperson Welk called the meeting to order at 7:26 p.m. <br /> Present: Drilling, Vermeulen, Liaison Buckbee. Absent: <br /> LaMotte, Tourville. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> June 7, 1994 meeting minutes. <br /> The consideration of the June 7, 1994 meeting minutes were tabled <br /> until a quorum present at the meeting are available for approval. <br /> July 5, 1995 meeting minutes. <br /> The consideration of the July 5, 1994 meeting minutes were tabled <br /> until a quorum present at the meeting are available for approval. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Variance - West third of Lots 7, 8 and 9 Block 2 <br /> Centerville. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Vermeulen to recommend to the City <br /> Council approval the request for variances from Ordinance #4 as <br /> follows: <br /> 24. SCHEDULE OF REGULATIONS <br /> (7a) All future new dwelling in R -1, R -2, R -3 Single <br /> Family Residential Districts shall have a double garage <br /> of a minimum of 440 square feet. <br /> To allow a 316 square foot garage to be constructed in the <br /> R -2 Single Family Residential District which is less than <br /> the 440 square feet requirement. A variance of 126 square <br /> feet. <br /> and <br /> SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS MINIMUM AREA OF STRUCTURES <br /> to allow a single family home of 834 square feet of minimum <br /> ground floor area to be constructed in the R -2 Single Family <br /> District which is less than the 1,050 square foot minimum <br /> ground floor area requirement. A variance of 216 square <br /> feet of minimum ground floor area. <br /> based on the following standards: <br /> - special conditions and circumstances exist which are <br /> peculiar to the land, the lot size is 50 x 150 feet, <br /> the lot is small, long and narrow and does not result <br /> from the actions of the petitioner; <br /> literal interpretation of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance would deprive the petitioner of rights <br /> commonly enjoyed by other properties in the same <br /> district under the terms of this ordinance since there <br /> are other fifty foot lots located within the R2 Zoning <br /> District that have structures that are less than 1050 <br /> square foot living space requirement; <br /> that by granting the variances requested will not <br />
