MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA HELD ON TUESDAY, <br /> MARCH 2, 1993 AT 7:00 P.M. <br /> IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held a public hearing on <br /> Tuesday, March 2, 1993 at the City Hall. The purpose of the <br /> public hearing was to hear all persons present regarding the <br /> possibility of amending Ordinance 04, Article as follows: <br /> Now Reads: 34.06. AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED. A detached <br /> accessory building not over one story and not <br /> exceeding twelve (12) feet in height may <br /> occupy not to exceed ten (10) percent square <br /> footage of the area of any rear yard. <br /> Amend to Read: 34.06. -Q1 AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED_ In the <br /> R2A. R -2 and R -5 zoning districts a detached <br /> accessory building not over one story and not <br /> exceeding sixteen (1n) feet in height may <br /> occupy not to exceed ten (10) percent square <br /> footage of the area of any rear yard. <br /> 34.06. -02 AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED_ Tn the <br /> R - zoning district a detached accessory <br /> building not over one story and not exceeding <br /> sixteen (16) feet in height may occupy not to <br /> exceed fifteen (15) percent square footage of <br /> the area of any rear yard. <br /> Chairperson Tourville called the public hearing to order at 7:30 <br /> p.m. Present: Drilling, LaMotte, Welk. Absent: Vermeulen_ <br /> Chairperson Tourville summarized the proposed amendment to the <br /> members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. It was noted that <br /> this proposed amendment is the result of a request for variance <br /> to build a garage in the R -4 Zoning District which would exceed <br /> the ten (10) percent square footage of the area of their rear <br /> yard. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that <br /> accessory buildings have been allowed to be built which exceed <br /> the ten (10) percent square footage of the area of any rear yard <br /> in the R -4 Zoning District. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted that there no persons present in the <br /> audience_ <br />
