Chairperson Tourville noted that the <br /> R -1 and R -3 zoning districts have a ten (10) acre minimum lot <br /> size. Chairperson Tourville also noted that many of the forms of <br /> buildings allowed in the R -1 and R -3 zoning districts do not fall <br /> under the Uniform Building Code. <br /> Commission member Drilling asked if the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission would be creating a problem. Commission member <br /> Drilling asked if there were residents lining up from the R -1 and <br /> R -3 zoning districts for variances from the current ordinance. <br /> Commission member Drilling noted that all the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission is doing is separating the R -4 zoning district from <br /> the present ordinance. <br /> Chairperson Tourville was adamant about separating the R -1 and R- <br /> 3 zoning districts. <br /> Commission member Welk noted that as long as the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission is considering amending the current ordinance <br /> now we could prevent problems in the future. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted that in the past a variance has been <br /> granted to the R -1 zoning district regarding this section of the <br /> ordinance. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed at length the <br /> proposed amendment. <br /> It appeared to be the consensus of the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission to table further discussion of the proposed amendment <br /> to Ordinance #4, Section 34.06 AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED to allow <br /> staff to ask Gunnar Petterssn, Building Inspector, for a <br /> definition of height and how it is determined according to the <br /> Uniform Building Code. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission also requested City staff to <br /> investigate the public hearing requirements. <br /> Pnygihility of emending Or ,manna #4 to Allnw fnr Only One <br /> Brcennnry Building (Stowage Shed) per Lot. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed at the length the <br /> proposed amendment to allow for only one accessory building per <br /> lot. <br /> Chairperson Tourville requested to meet with City staff and <br /> interested Planning and Zoning Commission members to re -draft the <br /> proposed amendment and to investigate the examples from other <br /> cities. <br />
