Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission held their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 11, <br /> 1992 at the City Hall. Chairperson Tourville called the meeting <br /> to order at 7:07 p.m. Present: Drilling, LaMotte, City Council <br /> Liaison Burgstahler. Absent: Vermeulen, Welk, <br /> MINUTES <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted that the meeting minutes did reflect <br /> the discussion at the November 5, 1991 regarding <br /> Commercial /Industrial Permitted Uses - Minimum Building Size. <br /> Chairperson Tourville wanted to clarify that the City of <br /> Centerville did have a pole building moratorium, but repealed the <br /> moratorium when the requirements were incorporated into the <br /> Zoning Ordinance. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by LaMotte to approve the November 5, <br /> 1991 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Appointment of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by LaMotte to appoint Dan Tourville as <br /> Chairperson and Kathy Welk as Vice Chairperson, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Petition for Detachment of Certain Land From the City of Lino <br /> Lakes and Annexation to the City of Centerville <br /> City Council Liaison Burgstahler noted that the cities of • <br /> Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes will be <br /> meeting in February to discuss the possibility of shared <br /> services. <br /> Chairperson Tourville expressed concern that the request for <br /> detachment /annexation may have an effect on the consolidation <br /> ibsue,. His concern appeared to he that the request for <br /> detachment /annexation could possibly "add fuel to the fire ". <br /> Chairperson Tourville stated that he was sorry that the request <br /> for detachment /annexation did not come sooner. <br /> City Council Liaison Burgstahler noted that until the municipal <br /> water extension was completed it may not have been logical. <br /> Chairperson Tourville noted that benefit of flood plain reduction <br /> and utility services, stated in the petition, was a good point. <br /> Motion by Tourville, second by Drilling to support the Petition <br /> for Detachment of Certain Land from the City of Lino Lakes and <br /> Annexation to the City of Centerville, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />
