City Council Liaison Burgstahler noted that there are a number of things discussed at the City Council level that could be further reviewed. Liaison Burgstahler noted that one item that he would like to see investigated is the two foot above the flood plain elevation requirement for commercial /industrial buildings, In his opinion this is an extra expense for the developer. The residential developments requirement of two feet above the flood plain elevation should be enforced. Typical commercial /industrial construction is slab on grade. It appeared to be the consensus of the Planning and Zoning Commission members present to table discussion of meeting with no formal agenda until the full Planning and Zoning Commission is present. Update /Codification of Ordinance #4 Sanna Buckbee, Assistant City Clerk, noted that City Staff will be discussing Ordinance #4 with Greg Heilings, City Attorney, on Wednesday, February 26, 1992. Chairperson Tourville asked if the City Attorney is a member of the League of Minnesota Cities. If the Attorney is a member there may be a reduced charge for working with the League of Minnesota Cities on ordinance codification. Rubber Mating at the Central Park Building Commission member Drilling noted that the Park and Recreation Committee has expended approximately $4,000.00 for rubber mating at the Central Park Building. Commission member Drilling expressed concern that the dollar amount appeared to be excessive. Chairperson Tourville noted, that in his opinion, there is a State Statute requiring cities to solicit bids for any thing over $500.00. City Council Liaison Burgstahler noted that this did appear to be an excessive expenditure and will research further.
