ORDINANCE 34, ARTICLE 3, SECTION 36.06 <br /> NOW READS: <br /> IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE. Required parking and <br /> loading spaces, together with driveways, aisles, and other <br /> circulation areas, shall be improved in such a way as to <br /> provide a durable and dust -free surface. All parking and <br /> loading areas shall provide for proper drainage of surface <br /> water to prevent the drainage of such water onto adjacent <br /> properties or walkways. The owner of any parking or loading <br /> area shall maintain the area in good condition without holes <br /> and free of all dust, trash, and other debris. <br /> AMEND TO READ: <br /> IMPROVEMENT AND MAINTENANCE. <br /> 36.06 -1 Required parking and loading spaces, together with <br /> driveways, aisles, and other circulation areas, <br /> shall be constructed of bituminous or concrete and <br /> meet the specifications of the City Engineer. The <br /> driveways shall be completed prior to issuance of <br /> a certificate of occupancy, weather permitting. <br /> 36.06 -2 All parking and loading areas shall provide for <br /> proper drainage of surface water to prevent the <br /> drainage of such water onto adjacent properties or <br /> walkways. The owner of any parking or loading <br /> area shall maintain the area in good condition <br /> without holes and free of all dust, trash, and <br /> other debris. <br /> 36.06 -3 All driveways abutting City street prior to <br /> adoption of this amendment shall construct a <br /> driveway apron to extend from the street to the <br /> property line (within the street right -of -way). <br /> The apron shall be constructed of bituminous or <br /> concrete and shall meet the specifications of the <br /> City Engineer. <br /> Construction of the driveway apron will be the <br /> responsibility of the abutting property owner. <br /> The property owner shall be allowed a period of <br /> three (3) years after adoption of this amendment <br /> to construct the apron. If after a period of <br /> three (3) years the apron is not installed, the <br /> City shall initiate construction and asses the <br /> cost to the abutting property owner. <br />
