Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> Tuesday, August 7, 1990 at City Hall- Chairman Tourville called <br /> the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: Welk, Drilling, <br /> Vermeulen. Absent: Wilharber_ <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to approve the July 12, 1990 <br /> meeting minutes; Aye - Vermeulen, Welk, Tourville; Abstain - <br /> Drilling, motion carried. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Automotive repair - Kevin Fuller - Site Plan <br /> Kevin Fuller was not present. Chairman Tourville update the <br /> Commission members on the originally proposed site plan in the <br /> Industrial Park. Kevin Fuller is now apparently proposing being <br /> on the commercially zoned property on Main Street. Chairman <br /> Tourville also noted that there would be a need for a special use <br /> permit for this site. <br /> It appeared to be the general consensus of the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission that the originally proposed site would be a <br /> better and more appropriate site. The Commission members <br /> expressed concern over the complaints that might be generated <br /> from the proposed commercially zoned site. <br /> Commission member Drilling expressed that he would like to see <br /> the commercially zoned area saved for something nicer giving the <br /> example of a Hardware Store. <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to table the discussion of <br /> Kevin Fullers automotive repair - site plan, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> .e••-f - _•. _- _•e'.e:' • n et i. 'ermit (for <br /> multifamily dwelling in an R -2 zoning distriotl: Preliminary <br /> plat. <br /> Chairman Tourville noted that Gerald Rehbein's request to build <br /> an eight -plex housing complex appeared to be a normal <br /> subdivision. <br /> Commission member Welk noted that she would like to wait on <br /> making a decision until there is feedback from the Planner and <br /> staff. <br /> Chairman Tourville noted that Maier, Stewart and Associates <br /> should be requested to complete a feasibility study. <br /> Chairman Tourville also questioned on how the quality concerns of <br /> the residents are to be addressed. <br /> Commission member Drilling expressed that the concept appears to <br />
