Commission member Vermeulen expressed that the ordinance should be reworded to make it more flexible. Commission member Vermeulen left the meeting at 8:20 p.m. NEI BUSINESS 1.) Consider rezoning the following properties: - 1973 Main Street 7105 20th Avenue North - 1981 Main Street 1979 Main Street _ 1976 Main Street - 1969 Main Street 2.) Zoning of the property at 7140 - 20th Avenue North. Tamara Miltz - Miller, Clerk Administrator, was present. Ms. Miltz- Miller noted that at the July 25, 1990 five of the above property owners were present at the City Council meeting and appeared to be very receptive to the idea and would not have a problem with the rezoning. Commercially zoned property would be assessed at a higher rate if municipal water is extended to these properties. Ms. Miltz- Miller stated that the property at 7140 - 20th Avenue North was included to be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan - Future Land Use Plan. Chairman Tourville expressed that this should be the property owners decision to rezone their property, He also expressed that it should be left commercial and have the property owners help pay for the cost of the oversized water main. Chairman Tourville also expressed concern about whether this would be serving in the City's best interest, in his opinion long term commercial would be more beneficial. Commisison member Drilling felt that in his opinion it is more desirable to have commercial zoned property. He would not like to see it rezoned from commercial to residential.
