P &Z Meeting Minutes <br /> Page Five <br /> • May 1, 1990 <br /> Commission member Wilharber noted that the regulation of sizes of <br /> homes could improve the future tax base. <br /> Motion by Wilharber to recommend to the City Council to amend <br /> Ordinance #4 - "SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS MINIMUM GROUND <br /> FLOOR AREA OF LIVING SPACE" as per addendum A attached to and <br /> made part of these minutes; with a one year grandfather clause <br /> for platted lots from implication of amendment., motion failed due <br /> to Lack of second. <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by Drilling to recommend to the City <br /> Council to amend Ordinance 44 to incorporate an R -5 zoning <br /> district with the minimum lot and yard requirements in the R -5 <br /> zoning district be set at. 17,500 square feet with a minimum of <br /> 100 foot frontage width; the minimum ground floor area of living <br /> space in the R -5 zoning district be set at. 1,200 square feet, <br /> with all other zoning districts remaining at the current minimum <br /> square footage; <br /> to amend Ordinance 44, Article 2, Section 24, 24 (6): <br /> now reads: Sheet metal siding shall not be <br /> permitted in such districts not over at least fifty <br /> (50) percent of entire structure." <br /> amend to read: "...
