Meeting Minutes P & Z
Page Four
Discussion of possible rezoning options and priorites. Chairman
Tourville noted that some of the rezoning recommendations were
actually down zoning of property and stated that he would not be
a part of this with out the property owners permission. He also
felt that rezoning was premature since they had just told a
potential developer to await approval of comprehensive plan. He
would be more in favor of making residential into commercial than
vise versa,
Liaison Neumann stated that the commission could take what ever
action they feel is right, that this was just
recommednation/suggestions from the City Council for rezoning.
Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to table for further
discussion on rezoning at the next meeting, motion carried
unanimously.
The Planning and Zoning commission had no comments for the
December Newsletter.
It appeared to be the general consensus of the Planning and
Zoning commission that the seminars looked interesting but they
do not have the time to attend at this time.
Commission member Drilling requested copies of Ordinances #4 and
#8.
OLD BUSINESS
Motion by Drilling, second by Vermeulen to recommend to the City
Council the appointment of Charles Brenner to the open Planning
and Zoning position, Welk - aye, Drilling - aye, Vermeulen - aye,
Tourville - nay, motion carried.
Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to adjourn the meeting,
motion carried unanimously.
