P &Z Meeting Minutes <br /> Page 3 <br /> March 1, 1988 <br /> all addresses included and Zoning, Sewer and Flood Plain overlays <br /> would be added. The engineers stated that they use overlays to <br /> do the individual maps. The sample map was studied for possible <br /> errors. It was decided that members would look this map over and <br /> bring it back to the next meeting. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Welk to table discussion of <br /> Assessment Manual draft until a later meeting, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Welk to table discussion of LaMotte <br /> Drive /Mound Trail until next meeting when all members are <br /> present, motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of permanent weight restrictions. Engineers stated <br /> that the February 22, 1988 letter regarding weight restrictions <br /> sent to the City by their office says it all. The County puts <br /> restrictions on about March 15. A copy of this letter is on file <br /> with the City Clerk. <br /> Chairman Tourville stated that P &Z would go along with whatever <br /> the Council and the Engineers want to do to preserve roads. <br /> Discussion of use of City Engineer by developers. Clerk advised <br /> that City Attorney recommends against using City Engineer for <br /> private developments unless City were to take responsibitity for <br /> bonding the project. City Engineers stated that they loose <br /> effectiveness when a developer uses another engineering firm. <br /> Planning and Zoning members agree that use of City Engineers is <br /> best. Chairman Tourville suggests that City check legalities and <br /> how other cities handle this. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Welk that P &Z hold an extra meeting <br /> Tuesday, March 22, 1988 at 7 p.m. to handle items tabled at this <br /> and previous meetings, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Welk to adjourn the meeting, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:56 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted: <br /> CCJJ <br /> Beverly A.
