P &Z Meeting Minutes Page 3 January 5, 1988 OLD BUSINESS After a discussion concerning how to best index the amendments to Ordinance 04 and the time involved to do it, it was decided not to have an extra meeting in January. Assistant Clerk was asked to have the indexing done for the February meeting. Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to have Member Lindgren get prices for name plates for P &Z, motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Discussion of changes needed in Ordinance #8, Motion by Drilling, second by Welk to amend Article 3, Section 38.09. TREES. to read "One (1) tree per lot shall be planted in the front yard not in the easement, unless otherwise approved by City Council ". After more discussion, Welk withdrew second and Drilling withdrew the motion. It was decided that wording was already clear enough. Motion by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to add the following to Article 3, Section 38. IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION -"38.12. SODDING. The developer must sod the front yard, boulevard, and side yards to the rear of the structure on every lot. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Vermeulen, second by Drilling to add the following wording to Article 3, Section 38 - IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION, 38.03 -3. STREETS - and shall include a geotextile fabric mat as specified by the City Engineers." also add to Article 4, Section 44. FINAL PLAT.,'44.05 - With submission of the final plat, ten (10) copies of the plat map showing all addresses correctly labeled shall be supplied to the City Clerk for subsequent distribution to the utility companies, local school districts, and Fire and Police Departments. ", and make the following changes: Section 45., 45.03 PRELIMINARY PLAT (1), change wording from " ten (10) copies" to "fifteen (15) copies ", and Section 45.04 FINAL PLAT - 2. "Four (4) prints" to "Ten (10) prints ", motion carried unanimously. Motion by Lindgren, second by Vermeulen to hold a Public Hearing to discuss amending Ordinance #8 to include the changes and additions in the previous two motions, motion carried unanimously. Commission members Welk and Vermeulen left the meeting at 10:25.
