Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> Page Two <br /> September 1, 1987 <br /> meeting. Changed paragraph 5, page 1 - Shirley to Sheila Godwin. <br /> Changed paragraph 6, page 2 - 04 & 05 to Ordinance 08 regarding <br /> land swaps, and general changes to Ordinance 04. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Vermeulen to approve the minutes <br /> of August 4 meeting with the two changes above and notation ( *see <br /> attachment) added to paragraph #7 of page 01, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Ed Albrecht, 1729 Peltier Lake Drive, appeared to discuss the <br /> possibility of a variance to erect a 12 X 16 building on Outlot <br /> A, which is a part of his property. He stated that he had <br /> discussed this with the Building Inspector and discovered it was <br /> a drainage easement. He needs direction. <br /> Discussion followed. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Vermeulen recommending the City <br /> Engineer look into the situation and advise P & Z if Outlot A is <br /> needed for a drainage easement, motion passed unanimously. <br /> Marcel Rivard, 7072 Progress Road called and asked P & Z to <br /> discuss his request to erect an office addition to his building <br /> at 7087 Progress Road. City Building Inspector stated that it is <br /> zoned Commercial and is in the old part of town. Set back and <br /> lot size variances are needed. Commission member Buesseler <br /> referenced Ordinance 04, Section 43.01 - CHANGE IN NON - CONFORMITY <br /> and SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS. He feels Commission would <br /> not grant a variance. Chairman Tourville asked how it can be <br /> dealt with. Bldg. Inspector stated if neighbors don't object and <br /> needs such as parking are taken care of. (Inspector Pettersen <br /> volunteered to attend working sessions Qf i & Z) <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Ordinance 04, B -1 Commercial - SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT <br /> REGULATIONS. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Lindgren to accept amendments as <br /> proposed, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Discussion of Prachar request for variance to Ordinance 08, <br /> Article 02- 21.05. Commission feels request does not meet any of <br /> exceptions 01 through 06. Stated 01, 2, and 3 are to prevent <br /> land- locked pieces. <br /> Motion by Lindgren, second by Buesseler to table Prachar variance <br /> request until receipt of information from other communities, <br />
