Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission of Centerville held a public hearing on <br /> June 3, 1986 at City Hall. Chairman Tourville called the <br /> hearing to order at 7 :00 P.M. Present: Murray, Lindgren, <br /> Buesseler, Welk, council liaison Fritchie. <br /> The purpose was to hear all persons present regarding an <br /> amendment to Ordinance #4 allowing "contractors yard" as <br /> a permitted use under Industrial zoning, and to add the <br /> definition of contractors yard as follows: an area where <br /> vehicles, equipment and /or construction materials and supplies <br /> commonly used by building, excavation, roadway construction <br /> and similar contractors are stored or serviced. The <br /> contractors yard includes both areas of outdoor storage <br /> and areas confined within a completely enclosed building <br /> used in conjunction with a contractors business. <br /> No one in the audience was opposed to this change. <br /> Paul Behr, 6415 Joyer Lane was in favor of the change. <br /> He and two other gentlemen would like to start a business <br /> in the Industrial park that would fit into this definition. <br /> Motion by Murray, secod by Lindgren to recommend to the <br /> City Council the following amendment to Ordinance #4: <br /> "contractors yard" be listed as a permitted use in the <br /> Industrial zone, and its definition - "an area where vehicles, <br /> equipment and /or construction materials and supplies commonly <br /> used by building, excavation, roadway construction and <br /> similar contractors are stored or serviced. The contractors <br /> yard includes both areas of outdoor storage and areas con- <br /> fined within a completely enclosed building used in con- <br /> junction with a contractors business ", be listed in its <br /> definitions, motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission felt this use fit nicely <br /> into the Industrial Zone and helped to clarify the uses in <br /> Ordinance #4 further. <br /> Hearing adjourned at 7:14 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice threof the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission held thir regular meeting on June 3, 1986 <br /> at City Hall. Chairman Tourville called the meeting to <br /> order at 7 :15 P.M. Present: Murray, Lindgren, Buesseler, <br /> Welk, council liaison Fritchie. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Murray to accept the minutes <br /> of the May 6, 1986 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Chairman Tourville recessed the meeting to the 7 :30 public <br /> hearing. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission of Centerville held a public hearing on <br /> June 3, 1986 at City Hall.
