P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 5, 1994 <br /> PAGE FOUR <br /> It appeared to be the consensus of the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee to ask them to become involved with the Centennial <br /> School District and North Metro Recreation Commission. <br /> Water Cooler at Central Park. <br /> Committee member Thompson will contact Paul Palzer, Public Works <br /> Director /Building Inspector, about the water cooler purchase and <br /> price of the grab bars. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee requests City staff to write a <br /> letter to the MS Society for funds to purchase the grab bars and <br /> water cooler. <br /> Rink Repair. <br /> It was noted the grading of the rink is completed. <br /> Committee member Navin noted he needs keys for the rink. He also <br /> suggested a fix up day. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer suggested contacting the Centennial <br /> Youth Hockey Association Charitable Gambling Committee for funds <br /> to improve the ice rink (shelves). He also suggested getting <br /> guards for the inside lights. <br /> Motion by Thompson, second by Reisdorfer to give Rivard Electric <br /> until the next meeting to repair the lights at the rink, motion <br /> carried unanimously <br /> Committee member Navin will contact Rivard Electric to repair <br /> outside lights on pleasure rink. <br /> City staff is requested to place an ad for rink attendants. City <br /> staff is also requested to help recruit volunteers for the tree <br /> farm fund raiser. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer noted the age requirements for <br /> running equipment is 16 years of age. <br /> Maintenance of the hockey equipment was added to the list. <br /> ADJOURN. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to adjourn the meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously.
