PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, JULY 6, 1994 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, July 6, 1994 at the City Hall. Chairperson Dixon <br /> called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present: Drilling, <br /> Larson, Thompson, Reisdorfer. Absent: Navin, Pelton. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> Approval of June 1, 1994 meeting min tes. <br /> Motion by Dixon, second by Larson to approve the June 1, 1994 <br /> meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES: <br /> Paul Palzer, Public Works Director /Building Inspector. <br /> 1. Removal of sand in hockey rink. <br /> Mr. Palzer will check with local contractors and get bids as <br /> to what it will cost and report back at our August meeting. <br /> Quotes should include leveling the rink. <br /> 2. Posts at ice rink. <br /> Per Mr. Palzer, posts around the south side of the rink are <br /> coming up from the ice upheaval. <br /> Mr. Palzer will give us our options with quoted prices at <br /> our next meeting. <br /> 3. Concrete slab by restrooms at Central Park. <br /> Mr. Palzer feels that the cracks are caused by poor concrete ' <br /> mix. The Park and Recreation Committee will include monies <br /> in their 1995 budget to replace the slab. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> North Metro Recreation - Request to waive Park Key Deposit. <br /> Carl Saarion, North Metro Recreation Chairperson, introduced <br /> himself to the Park and Recreation Committee. Mr. Saarion noted <br /> he would like to promote good communication between North Metro <br /> Recreation and the Park and Recreation Committee. <br /> Mr. Saarion requested the key deposit be waived, since North <br /> Metro Recreation is part of the City. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to keep the key deposit <br /> in tack, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Saarion requested the use of the ballfields in the fall for <br /> adult softball. Mr. Saarion requested the following dates: <br /> Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday <br /> starting August 1st through September 30th. <br />
