P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> JULY 6, 1994 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to allow North Metro <br /> Recreation the above dates, but once they have determined the <br /> exact dates, they should advise City staff; <br /> they will confirm with a letter, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> City Celebration Requests - Bill Bisek. <br /> Mr. Bisek, City Celebration Committee Representative, would like <br /> the Park and Recreation Committee to purchase bases for the <br /> softball fields. <br /> Mr. Bisek also requested the City tractor to groom the infield <br /> and put a clean edge around the infield. <br /> Mr. Bisek suggested another 45 tone of agglime be put on each <br /> field. While there is some draining off the field each year, it <br /> is a small amount per Mr. Bisek. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to spend monies to put <br /> 45 ton of agglime on each field plus machine time and labor <br /> necessary to spread it; <br /> the cost to be controlled by the City Celebration <br /> Committee and Bill Bisek, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> I l Assignment of Park and Recreation Committee Responsibilities. <br /> Tabled. Add to August agenda. <br /> 1 <br /> Grant Monev for Asphalt Paths. <br /> Committee member Drilling explained that over the past few <br /> months, it has been in our minutes that we accepted a bid for the <br /> trail and basketball court built with asphalt. The work had <br /> already began when the Clerk /Administrator said we could not <br /> spend these monies or sign the contract since our line item <br /> budget had not been approved. <br /> What has to be done at this point is to include this work in our <br /> line item budget for the Council to approve. <br /> As the construction of this was in process, Paul Palter, Public <br /> Works Director /Building Inspector, asked Committee member <br /> Drilling if we wanted grant money for a path. The Park and <br /> Recreation Committee was totally unaware of any possible grant <br />
