Article IV <br /> OFFICERS <br /> A. Officers <br /> The committee will elect its officers annually at the <br /> first (1st) regular meeting in a calendar year. A <br /> chairperson, a vice- chairperson, and a secretary will <br /> be elected. <br /> B. Term of Office <br /> The term of office for all officers will be one (I) <br /> year. Each officer will be eligible for not more than <br /> three (3) consecutive terms of office. <br /> C. Duties <br /> I. Chairperson <br /> a) to preside at meetings of the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee meetings; <br /> b) to give leadership to the committee; <br /> c) to sign reports and other papers as authorized <br /> by the Park and Recreation Committee; <br /> ( d) to appoint task forces as authorized by the <br /> Z - bylaws. <br /> II. Vice - chairperson <br /> a) to lend support and assistance to the chairperson; <br /> b) to preside at Park and Recreation Committee <br /> meetings in the absence of the chairperson; <br /> c) to fill the office of chairperson, should that <br /> post become vacant, for the remainder of the <br /> unexpired term. <br /> III. Secretary <br /> a) will take minutes of all regular and specially <br /> scheduled meetings; <br /> b) prepare meeting minutes in duplicate; <br /> c) distribute one copy of minutes to the Committee <br /> and the second copy to the City Clerk for <br /> distribution to the Centerville City Council. <br /> i <br />
