1 <br /> JOINT MFJTING <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 1994 - 7 :00 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee and the City Council of the City of Centerville held a <br /> joint meeting on Wednesday, March 2, 1994 at the City Hall. <br /> Chairperson Dixon called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Park <br /> and Recreation Committee members present: Reisdorfer, Larson, <br /> Navin. Absent: Drilling. City Council members present: <br /> Buckbee, Brenner, Helmbrecht, Wilharber. Absent: Dario. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin to approve the February 2, <br /> 1994 meeting minute, motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES: <br /> Pat Turgeon, North Metro Recreation Commission Chair. <br /> Pat Turgeon, Chairperson of the North Metro Recreation <br /> Commission, appeared before the Park and Recreation Committee to <br /> update on the activities of the Commission. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee indicated to Ms. Turgeon that <br /> they simply wanted an update, and information about terminating <br /> Centerville's participation was only for curiosity. <br /> Ms. Turgeon and the Park and Recreation Committee will work <br /> towards improving communication. The minutes from the North <br /> Metro Recreation Commission will be forwarded to City Hall. <br /> Centennial Little League. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer spoke of how the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee wanted to let all parties know what Committee was doing <br /> about usage of the ball fields. <br /> Pat Mahr, President of the Centennial Little, expressed need for <br /> both fields. <br /> The Trio Inn and Waterworks Beach Club indicated they will be <br /> donating their share to the Little League. <br /> The Little League wants Monday through Thursday evenings, and <br /> would like Friday for rain outs. The Little League would also <br /> like one weekend. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon for the Centennial Little <br /> League to have both ball fields at Central Park, Monday through <br /> Thursday evenings; <br /> - beginning April 15, 1994 and ending July 31, 1994, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br />
