PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 1994 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, February 2, 1994 at the City Hall. Acting <br /> Chairperson Larson called the meeting to order at 6:37 P.M. <br /> Present: Drilling, Navin and Reisdorfer. Absent: Dixon. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Approval of the December 1, 1993 meeting minutes. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin to approve the December 1, <br /> 1993 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Rink Attendant Update <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer noted he had to let go of two <br /> attendants for not showing up for work. <br /> Committee member Residerdorfer noted Orville Hughes, Public Works <br /> Director, stated the City employees found a person sleeping in <br /> the rink building. The City will keep an eye on this. <br /> Committee member Larson reported that doors have been left <br /> unlocked, the door to the snack bar area was opened when nobody <br /> should have a key, the popcorn machine has been used, and parts <br /> were missing from the snow blower. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer will look into this. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling, once the skating season <br /> is over, the City personnel should use the funds collected from <br /> key deposits to totally re -key the building; <br /> this should be done no later than 15 days after the end <br /> of the skating season, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Ordinance <br /> Committee member Navin will do a rough draft of the ordinance <br /> establishing a Park and Recreation committee for our next <br /> meeting. <br /> Tree Farm Update <br /> Committee member Navin noted the net funds remaining were <br /> $381.70. Out of that the City needs to be repaid the $100.00 <br /> dollar advance. <br /> City staff please send thank you letters to the following <br /> helpers: Mary Jane Lang, Christine Foster, Linda Reisdorfer and <br /> Russell Almendinger. Committee member Navin will sign the <br /> letters. <br />
