P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> FEBRUARY 2, 1994 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> Sandahl's <br /> Regarding the claim by the Sandahl's, Committee member Navin felt <br /> that the Sandahl's were miss led. He felt that they were led to <br /> believe all they had to do is file a claim and they would receive <br /> restitution. <br /> North Metro Recreation Commission <br /> Could City staff ask Pat Turgeon to come to our next meeting to <br /> update us and re- explain the benefits of this program. <br /> Could City staff check to see what our commitments are to this <br /> commission and what are the processes to terminate Centerville's <br /> participation. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Outdoor Recreation Grant Application Form <br /> Committee member Drilling will be the lead on this Project. She <br /> will contact Carol Pelton to coordinate their activities. <br /> One possible item for a grant will be the purchase of more land <br /> for Central Park and its reconstruction. <br /> Centennial Little League <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer will send letters to Kelly's, Trio <br /> Inn, Waterworks and Centennial Little League requesting their <br /> presence at our next meeting. We will decide at that time who <br /> the fields will be allocated to based on who attends. <br /> There was a lengthy discussion as to whether a user fee should be <br /> assessed for up keep of the building. <br /> Committee member Navin will look into whether other cities are <br /> charging user fees and he will then notify each Park & Recreation <br /> member. <br /> Committee member Larson will look into the building maintenance <br /> costs. <br /> Senior Housing <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin to request City staff to <br /> please advise the City Council that the Park & Recreation <br /> Committee is very interested in being deeply involved in all <br /> aspects of any park dedication land or funds in this development; <br /> - the Park & Recreation Committee would like to be <br /> involved in all discussions from the beginning; <br /> - the Park & Recreation Committee saw no park on the map <br /> of the preliminary drawing; <br /> - also, we will need to what know the dollar value would <br />
