P &R MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 2, 1994 PAGE TWO Sandahl's Regarding the claim by the Sandahl's, Committee member Navin felt that the Sandahl's were miss led. He felt that they were led to believe all they had to do is file a claim and they would receive restitution. North Metro Recreation Commission Could City staff ask Pat Turgeon to come to our next meeting to update us and re- explain the benefits of this program. Could City staff check to see what our commitments are to this commission and what are the processes to terminate Centerville's participation. NEW BUSINESS Outdoor Recreation Grant Application Form Committee member Drilling will be the lead on this Project. She will contact Carol Pelton to coordinate their activities. One possible item for a grant will be the purchase of more land for Central Park and its reconstruction. Centennial Little League Committee member Reisdorfer will send letters to Kelly's, Trio Inn, Waterworks and Centennial Little League requesting their presence at our next meeting. We will decide at that time who the fields will be allocated to based on who attends. There was a lengthy discussion as to whether a user fee should be assessed for up keep of the building. Committee member Navin will look into whether other cities are charging user fees and he will then notify each Park & Recreation member. Committee member Larson will look into the building maintenance costs.
