P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> NOVEMBER 3, 1993 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Water Hoses for Flooding Hockey and Pleasure Rink. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin to direct Committee member <br /> Larson to give the hose dimensions to Chairperson Dixon; <br /> - Chairperson Dixon will check into purchase prices and <br /> related concerns; <br /> - information will be presented at the December Park and <br /> Recreation meeting; <br /> - the City staff is directed to develop a plan to build <br /> something at the warming house to hang hoses or in some <br /> way protect the hoses and prevent injuries by keeping <br /> the hoses off the floor; <br /> - this plan should include costs and be presented at our <br /> December meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Central Park - LAWCON Program. <br /> Committee member Larson will address these issues with the <br /> Clerk /Administrator and /or state grants manager. <br /> Rink Attendants. <br /> Committee member Reisdorfer has had City staff run rink attendant <br /> want ads. The rink attendant duties and other requirements were <br /> discussed, some changes will be made. No t.v.'s, 6 attendants <br /> are desired were discussed are possible changes. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Larson to direct City staff to <br /> ask the area high schools if there is some way the Park and <br /> Recreation Committee can advertise in the school newspaper for <br /> attendants; <br /> - City staff is requested to call Committee member <br /> Reisdorfer with the answer; <br /> - The City should also run a public service ad on the <br /> Forest Lake radio station, cable t.v. and City <br /> newsletter, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> ADJOURN: <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Linda Drilling <br /> Acting Recording Secretary <br />
