Nov. 3, 1993 Park and Rec Meeting <br /> 1. Meeting called to order: 6:35 p.m. <br /> Neil, Steve, Linda, Mike and Dale Present <br /> 2. Sept. minutes approved. Neil 1st. Mike 2nd. <br /> \ 3. Centennial Hockey representatives: Ian and Carolyn Pickell, <br /> 7122 Brian Drive. Concerns: More ice time in Centerville,ice not <br /> properly prepared last year. (Centennial Hockey was in charge), <br /> also, more supervision of ice rink. <br /> Park and Rec will tentatively allow the Centennial Hockey <br /> Association the following days based on these requirements: they <br /> give us a schedule of the times and days they wish to use it by our <br /> Dec. meeting, flooding is done by the Association Monday, Tuesday, <br /> Wednesday and Thursday whether or not they use it. One warning will <br /> be issued, and if flooding is not done a second time, Centennial <br /> Hockey Association will not be allowed to use the facility. <br /> Monday 5:30 -9:30 <br /> Tuesday 5:30 -9:30 <br /> Wednesday 5:30 -9:30 <br /> Thursday 5:30 -9:30 <br /> Neil 1st. Mike 2nd. Motion approved. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Installation of timbers: Mike reporting. Neil, Mike and Tom <br /> Wilharber installed the timbers Labor Day weekend. Sand was <br /> delivered. The city is directed to finish installing the <br /> equipment, spread out the sand,complete the timbers by December 1, <br /> 1993. Linda 1st. Neil 2nd. Motion approved. <br /> 2. Night Golf Tournament: Items sold and money taken in was noted. <br /> Efforts of Bill Bisek were also recognized. The city is directed <br /> to send thank you letters to the following businesses: <br /> Anoka County Park - use of Chomonix Golf Course <br /> Lorenz Bus Company - use of bus and driver <br /> Sporting Goods Inc. - $50.00 gift certificate <br /> Waterworks Beach Club - $25.00 gift certificate <br /> Kelly's Korner /Bill Bisek - $50.00 gift certificate, <br /> volunteering time as event coordinator. <br /> Neil 1st. Linda 2nd. Motion approved. <br /> 3. Centerville Lions Club. Mike reporting. <br /> We requested various park items to be donated. Lions showed some <br /> interest in donating park sign(s). They are supposed to send us <br /> written notice of what they wish to do. Some discussion took place <br /> regarding adult recreational activities at the parks. Please add <br /> this topic to our January meeting: Centerville Lions club <br /> donations. <br />
