P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> AUGUST 4, 1993 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> coordinate this event. <br /> Comprehensive Park and Trailwav Committee <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee noted that they did not receive <br /> advise from the City Council regarding the status of the <br /> Comprehensive Park and Trailway Committee. <br /> Trail to Fishing Pier on Peltier Lake along Main Street. <br /> Committee member Drilling noted that she had contacted Anoka <br /> County regarding a trail to the fishing pier. Anoka County <br /> stated that it is part of their 5 year plan that is now expiring <br /> and that they have no plans for now. <br /> Maier. Stewart and Associates - Bill in the Amount of $743.60. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee noted that they did not receive <br /> the requested information regarding the $743.60 bill from Maier, <br /> Stewart and Associates. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Standard Operating Procedures for Park Maintenance. <br /> Bill Bisek, Kelly's Korner, was present. Mr. Bisek thanked the <br /> City for use of the fields and efforts. Mr. Bisek presented the <br /> Park and Recreation Committee receipts for various expenses <br /> showing what work he had done on the fields, as requested as a <br /> substitution for fees for the fields. <br /> A copy of the receipts are on file with the Clerk /Administrator. <br /> Mr. Bisek read a letter dated August 2, 1993 thanking the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee for the use of the fields and giving <br /> suggestions for improvement for next year. <br /> A copy of this letter is attached to and made a part of these <br /> minutes. <br /> Mr. Bisek noted that he has decided not to use the fields for <br /> 1994, except for weekend use. Mr. Bisek indicated that he feels <br /> it is more important to have the fields available for the <br /> children. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee apologized to Mr. Bisek for the <br /> mess at the beginning, but it was caused by the Centennial Little <br /> League not following the proper procedures in dealing with the <br /> Park and Recreation Committee. <br /> Park Maintenance. <br /> Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, was present. Mr. Hughes <br /> expressed concern that the maintenance crew is working hard to <br /> keep the parks maintained and they keep getting complaints. Mr. <br />
