P &R MEETING MINUTES <br /> AUGUST 4, 1993 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> Hughes feels that they are being put in a bad light, and it is <br /> not fair. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee told Mr. Hughes that they wish <br /> to have the Public Works Department do the maintenance of the <br /> parks without their involvement. If the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee has questions or concerns, they will relay this <br /> information to the Public Works Department. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee will again the City Council to <br /> remove the maintenance from their budget. The Park and <br /> Recreation Committee feels they should not be involved in the <br /> procedures of the maintenance department. <br /> Mr. Hughes will be attend the September Park and Recreation <br /> Committee meeting to discuss transplanting of trees /bushes at <br /> Water Tower Park. <br /> Security Lights at Central Park. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer to have Lite Brite install the security <br /> lights at Central Park for a price of the lesser of $900.00 or <br /> the bid received by Chairperson Dixon. <br /> Motion failed due to lack of second. <br /> Committee members Drilling and Larson would like to see a second <br /> bid and a look at where the lights are to be placed. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> Motion by Larson, second by Drilling to adjourn the meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously.
