P &R MEETING MINTUES <br /> JULY 7, 1993 <br /> PAGE TWO <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1993 Park and Recreation Budget. <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Dixon to recommend to the City Council <br /> the following 1993 Park and Recreation Line Item Budget: <br /> Maintenance $7,500.00 <br /> to include maintenance salaries, utilities, <br /> phone, rink attendant salaries <br /> and maintenance supplies. <br /> Water Tower Park Improvements $12,000.00 <br /> Stipends $ 500.00 <br /> Royal Meadows Park $ 3,000.00 <br /> Central Park Security Lights $ 2,000.00 <br /> Picnic Tables at Water Tower Park $ 1,000.00 <br /> The remainder in miscellaneous, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Landscape Structures - Installation of Water Tower Park EauiDment <br /> - Update. <br /> The park equipment has been ordered. The park equipment will be <br /> delivered in about four weeks. The Park and Recreation Committee <br /> will plan to install the equipment on August 14, 1993. Committee <br /> member Drilling will make fliers, place advertisements in the <br /> local papers and handle the general organization of the project. <br /> Northern States Power Company - Possible Rebate - Hockey Rink <br /> Lights at Central Park. <br /> It was noted that no rebate is available because it is not at a <br /> peak time and the lights are not always required. <br /> Centerville Lions Club - Request for Donation. <br /> No action has been taken at this time. Committee member Navin <br /> will try to attend the Centerville Lions July meeting and request <br /> funds. <br /> Committee member Larson will investigate funds through the <br /> Centennial Fire Department. <br /> Comprehensive Park and Trailway Plan. <br /> It was noted that since Ms. Pelton has resigned from the <br /> Comprehensive Park and Trailway Plan Committee, Committee member <br /> Larson has not heard anything out the status of the Committee. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like the City Council to <br /> advise as to the status of the Comprehensive Park and Trailway <br /> Committee. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee expressed a concern about the <br /> trail to the existing fishing pier. It appears to be dangerous <br /> with children riding their bikes. <br />
