PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES JUNE 2, 1993 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting an Wednesday, June 2, 1993. Acting Chairperson Drilling called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Present: Larson, Reisdorfer. Absent: Dixon, Navin. MINUTES The following minutes were tabled: April 7, 1993 regular meeting minutes April 7, 1993 special meeting of the City Council and Park and Recreation Committee May 8, 1993 special meeting minutes OLD BUSINESS: 1993 Park and Recreation Budget. The 1993 Budget was tabled due to only three members of the Park and Recreation Committee present. Landscape Structures - Installation of Water Tower Park Equipment. Committee member Drilling will order the playground equipment, since the City Council has approved the expenditure. Northern States Power Company - Possible Rebate - Hockey Lights at Central Park. This item was tabled until Chairperson Dixon is present. Centerville Lions Club - Request for Donation. This item was tabled until Chairperson Dixon is present. If by next month Chairperson Dixon has not committed to do this, the Park and Recreation Committee will reassess their steps. Comprehensive Park and Trailway Plan. The Park and Recreation Committee noted that since the City Council commissioned the Committee and now that Carol Pelton has resigned, what direction do they plan to go on this. The Park and Recreation Committee would like to remind the City Council that as required, the Park and Recreation Committee has not approved any of the plan the Committee has proposed at this point. The Park and Recreation Committee would like to see the City Council ask Ms. Pelton to withdraw her resignation because of her expertise and the amount of work she and her Committee have already done.
