PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> JUNE 2, 1993 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> an Wednesday, June 2, 1993. Acting Chairperson Drilling called <br /> the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Present: Larson, Reisdorfer. <br /> Absent: Dixon, Navin. <br /> MINUTES <br /> The following minutes were tabled: <br /> April 7, 1993 regular meeting minutes <br /> April 7, 1993 special meeting of the City Council and <br /> Park and Recreation Committee <br /> May 8, 1993 special meeting minutes <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1993 Park and Recreation Budget. <br /> The 1993 Budget was tabled due to only three members of the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee present. <br /> Landscape Structures - Installation of Water Tower Park <br /> Equipment. <br /> Committee member Drilling will order the playground equipment, <br /> since the City Council has approved the expenditure. <br /> Northern States Power Company - Possible Rebate - Hockey Lights <br /> at Central Park. <br /> This item was tabled until Chairperson Dixon is present. <br /> Centerville Lions Club - Request for Donation. <br /> This item was tabled until Chairperson Dixon is present. If by <br /> next month Chairperson Dixon has not committed to do this, the <br /> Park and Recreation Committee will reassess their steps. <br /> Comprehensive Park and Trailway Plan. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee noted that since the City <br /> Council commissioned the Committee and now that Carol Pelton has <br /> resigned, what direction do they plan to go on this. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like to remind the City <br /> Council that as required, the Park and Recreation Committee has <br /> not approved any of the plan the Committee has proposed at this <br /> point. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like to see the City <br /> Council ask Ms. Pelton to withdraw her resignation because of her <br /> expertise and the amount of work she and her Committee have <br /> already done. <br />
