IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, April 7, 1993 at the City Hall. Chairperson Dixon <br /> called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Present: Drilling, <br /> Reisdorfer. Committee member Navin and Larson arrived late_ <br /> • <br /> KEYS FOR THE NEW CTTY HALL. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee does not have a key for the new <br /> City Hall. The Park and Recreation Committee stated that they <br /> would like to obtain a key. <br /> CTTY COUNCTT, T,IATSON <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee expressed concern that a City <br /> Council Liaison was not present at this meeting. <br /> APPROVAT, OF MINIITES <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to approve the March 3, <br /> 1993 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> CaEBALD RFHRETN - ACORN CREEK DEVELOPMENT <br /> Gerald Rehbein, Developer of the proposed Acorn Creek • <br /> Development, was present. Mr_ Rehbein noted the following: <br /> - At the April 7, 1993 Rice Creek Watershed District <br /> meeting it was noted that the R_C.W_S_ will not allow <br /> the February 24, 1993 City Council approved plan for <br /> the drainage pond. There are to be no trees in the <br /> middle of the proposed drainage pond_ <br /> - There is not to be a trail from Peltier Lake Drive to <br /> the proposed park. <br /> - The land designated for the trail will be added to the <br /> proposed park land. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee would like to see a trail from <br /> Peltier Lake Drive to Ojibway Road as a minimum requirement. <br /> Ideally, the trail would go to the proposed park land. In order <br /> to do this, the City Council would need to make adjustments_ The <br /> Park and Recreation Committee noted that Mr. Rehbein should be <br /> contacted if there are any questions_ If there is not a trail <br /> from Peltier Lake Drive to Ojibway Road there will be no "real" • <br /> access from Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> Ted Erkenbrack, 7377 Peltier Circle, was present. Mr. Erkenbrack <br /> made comments regarding the Acorn Creek Park /Trail Plan. <br />
