MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> HELD ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6, 1993 <br /> AT 6.30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at the City Hail_ Chairperson <br /> Dixon called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Present: <br /> Drilling, Larson, Navin, Reisdorfer_ <br /> MINUTES <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Navin to approve the December 2, <br /> 1992 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously_ <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Lights at Hockey Rink <br /> It was noted that the lights have been ordered from Brite Light <br /> Electric. Bright Light Electric will begin installation of the <br /> lights as soon as possible. <br /> Chairperson Dixon will check on a possible rebate from Northern <br /> States Powers. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee will submit a letter to the <br /> City Council explaining the need for the lights. <br /> Tr_ea_EaraL-Funi_Ralae.r <br /> Committee member Navin updated the Park and Recreation Committee <br /> on the fund raiser at the Tree Farm concession stand_ Committee <br /> member Navin noted that Park and Recreation Committee netted <br /> $475010 from the concession sales. <br /> Centerville Lions - Request for Donation <br /> Committee member Navin has not attended a Centerville Lions <br /> meeting, Committee member Navin will look into it soon_ <br /> Recuest for Ball £ ields - Centennial Tyttle T,eapue /Ke11y's Korner <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to request City staff to <br /> send the following letters to: <br /> - the Centennial Little League granting them use of the <br /> Central Park soft ballfields in the Spring /Summer 1993 <br /> on Tuesdays and Thursday nights; <br /> - William Bisek, Kelly "s Korner, authorizing their use of <br /> both fields for a softball league on Monday and <br /> Wednesday nights from May through August advising Mr. <br />
