Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Tuesday, <br /> October 9, 1990 at City Hall. Acting Chairperson Reisdorfer <br /> called the meeting to order at 7;00 p.m. Present; Drilling, <br /> Downing, Liaison Pelton. Absent: LeTendre, Dixon. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to approve the September <br /> 10, 1990 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Joint Meeting Date - Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to accept the Planning <br /> and Zoning Commission's recommendation of November 7, 1990 joint <br /> meeting date, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Park Land Dedication - Golden Meadows <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee has negotiated with Rehbein <br /> that the park land dedication consist of half the amount of land <br /> value equaling $24,600 and one acre of park land. The acre of <br /> land will be located on the southeast corner of the Golden <br /> Meadows development, and will abut the Houle property. The <br /> public park access will include an eastern driveway with room for <br /> a four car parking area. This acre will be devoted to a dual <br /> tennis court. The cost of the dual tennis court will be <br /> researched by Committee member Downing. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to recommend to the City <br /> Council the acceptance of the park land dedication fees of <br /> $24,600 and one acre of land from the Golden Meadows development, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Jong Term Development of Parks <br /> ROYAL MEADOWS <br /> 1. Fence by path is in wrong place. It is off by about 10 <br /> feet. Tamara Miltz- Miller, Clerk /Administrator should <br /> direct Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, to correct the <br /> fence's location. <br /> 2. Wood chips will be placed along the entire easement. This <br /> should help control abuse of the properties surrounding the <br /> park from the public wanting access to park. A decision <br /> will be made by spring of 1991 by the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee on a way to make the path narrower and protect <br /> property owners' lawns and landscaping from the public. <br /> 3. Park benches, asphalt for hop- scotch and more tot -line' <br /> recreation equipment were discussed as serious consideration <br /> for the park. <br /> 4. Lilac bushes will be placed on the back (south side) of park <br /> to prevent public from walking through private property in <br /> the spring of 1991. Committee member Downing will have the <br /> responsibility for the lilac bushes. <br />
