P &R inquires of the City Council who will pay for the additional cost
for the pump in Central Park that would be needed to pump the capacity
of water required by the Fire Dept.
P &R will decide at the September meeting how the hockey and pleasure
skating rink will be manned, whether by volunteers, or with an
attendant.
There was fulrther discussion on next year's budget, and Pelton was
appointed the budget hearing attendant.
LeTendre reported that contacts were still to be made regarding
the District #12 Program Supervisor.
All P &R members are asked to read ordinance #29 & 37 from the August
packet for the Sept. P &R meeting, make notations on how they apply to
P &R, and it will be discussed and recommended to the City Council
P &R's regulating ordinances for their review and approval.
The plat approval procedure was addressed on page two in the P &R's
July minutes.
Pelton distributed "Parks of Centerville ", and asked that it be read,
and that P &R would discuss /revise it at the Sept. meeting. The
P &R would then develop their master plan to present at the next joint
meeting.
P &R feels they need a preliminary grading plan available when looking
over a plat, to avoid the situation that arose in Center Oaks II and
Centerville Heights, where the proposed parks turned into proposed
drainage ponds.
Meeting adjourned at 10300 P.M. LeTendre made the motion, Paschke
second, unanimously accepted.
-2-
