Park & Recreation Meeting <br /> Tuesday, May 12, 1937 - 7:00 P.M. <br /> Present: Carol Pelton Cindy Paschke Leon L'Allier, Council Liaison <br /> Gerald LeTendre Steve Appel <br /> The meeting was called to order by Pelton. Correction to the April 14th <br /> minutes page one paragraph four to include the sum of $2000 in the Center Oaks <br /> II park dedication motion. Appel made a motion to accept the minutes with <br /> the above correction, second by LeTendre, motion carried unanimously. <br /> P & R reviewed the City Council minutes, and discussed their decision on Center <br /> Oaks II park land dedication (page four, paragraph four). It was suggested <br /> that P & R send representatives to the May 13th City Council meeting to promote <br /> the cause of park land in Center Oaks II. LeTendre and Pelton will represent <br /> P & R at that meeting. <br /> The treasurer reported that to date, $1000 has been spent from the P & R budget. <br /> The exact listing of disbursements are being recorded by the treasurer. The <br /> treasurer requests from the City Clerk a list of disbursements from January 1 -14 <br /> and (larch 1 -11. <br /> It was discussed that the Lawcon report was sent in on time,so now P & R needs to <br /> wait for the inspections, and the final decision in the fall. <br /> LeTendre made a motion to recommend that Lot 13,minus 10 feet to be added onto <br /> Lot 12, plus the land along the creek with a minimum of 35 feet be the park land <br /> dedication, instead of the 20 foot easement to save the developer the expense of <br /> replatting, second by Paschke, motion carried unanimously. <br /> P & R discussed having the Lions work with them, and through them,to develop <br /> the warming house and skating facilities in Central Park. The Lions have <br /> stated that they will make a cash donation plus labor and equipment towards the <br /> building of the warming house. Pelton will attend their Thursday meeting when <br /> they are going to discuss the size of the warming house. P & R requests that <br /> the building plans be approved by them. P & R also requests that the City Clerk <br /> contact the inspector in regards to the sewer, and a building permit for the <br /> warming house to be built in Central Park. It was also mentioned that the lights <br /> are leaning on the south end of the existing hockey rink. <br /> P & R will be sending a letter to Dave Lutz stating that he needs to contact <br /> Dan Tourville for the extra mowing of the soccer field in Central Park, and <br /> that he should request Dan Tourville to give him a separate billing of the mowing <br /> since the Soccer Association will be picking up the added expense up to $200. <br /> P & R requests the City Clerk to contact the Metropolitan Mosquito Control <br /> for their services in regards to the problem with mosquitoes and wood ticks <br /> in Central Park. P &.R stated that if Metropolitan Mosquito Control is a free <br /> services, they request the City Clerk to have them respond immediately. If <br /> there is a charge for the services, they will be contacted at a later date. <br /> At the next P & R meeting, Koch will report on the response from the rink attendants <br /> believed to still be holding keys. <br /> In regards to the park dedication of Centerville Heights, Pelton will graphically <br />
