Orville Hughes, one of the city workers, informed the Park & <br /> Recreation Committee of business they had been attending to <br /> concerning the Park & Recreation committee. Mr. Hughes discussed <br /> the opening of the tennis courts, transplanting trees in Royal <br /> Meadows(which involued two city workers for four hours), and <br /> the building of a proposed sandbox in Royal Meadows. Mr. Hughes <br /> also informed the Park & Recreation Committee that one set of <br /> bases were never returned from last years baseball season. He <br /> suggested that we find another area to keep the bases. It was <br /> suggested that Park & Recreation get a metal box to keep out at the <br /> ball field, and the coaches or umpires would have the keys to the <br /> box. Park & Recreation decided they would need to check out the <br /> keys at the beginning of the season, and make sure they were turned <br /> in at the end of the season. Park & Recreation requests that <br /> the City Clerk send a copy of the minutes to Mr. Hughes. The <br /> Park & Recreation Committee also requests that the city workers <br /> contact one of the Park & Recreation members before working on a <br /> project. <br /> Dave Lutz from the Chiefs Soccer Association, would like to use <br /> the soccer field at Central Park. He proposed that the association <br /> would cut the lines and paint them,along with providing the materials <br /> and goal posts. LeTendre made a motion to accomodate the Chiefs <br /> Association with the soccer field and that the Chiefs would pick <br /> up the added mowing cost of $10 -15 per mowing not to exceed $200, <br /> second by Koch, motion carried unanimously. Dave Lutz stated that <br /> he needed to know the dates on which the field was mowed, and that <br /> he needed the field to be mown on request. Dan Tourville will be <br /> advised of the Soccer Association arrangement. Dave Lutz telephone <br /> number is 429 - 8243. <br /> Koch made a motion to contact the City Attorney to clarify Article <br /> 2 section 21.02 regarding a land dedication fee for each building <br /> permit issued by the city, second by LeTendre, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Park & Recreation Committee will meet April 22 at 7:00 P.M. to <br /> work on the five year park plan: It was suggested that the five <br /> year plan upon completion be given to the City Council to look over. <br /> Motion to adjourn at 10:30 P.M. by Koch, second by Appel, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> The preliminary May Park & Recreation agenda is as follows: <br /> - Review minutes from Council and P & Z <br /> - Financial report from treasurer <br /> - Lawcon report <br /> - L'Allier Estates Plat 2 <br /> Ilk <br />
