Page Two - heeting Minutes <br /> Park & Recreation <br /> March 10, 1987 <br /> Pelton reported that with the seedling planting program, she and Myra <br /> Spijer will be working with approximately 75 third graders to plant <br /> 500 seedlings. Koch made a motion to give Pelton approval to spend <br /> up to $100.00 to purchase tools to plant the seedlings, second by <br /> Appel, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Pelton also presented a map to Park & Recreation showing public land <br /> in the City of Centerville that could possibly be used as a trail system <br /> to connect the city park system. <br /> Under new business, a motion was made by Koch to purchase a snowblower <br /> model #1032, 10 hsp, 32" cut, to replace the former one, second by <br /> Paschke, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Park & Recreation requests that the City Clerk have the satellite delivered <br /> to the Park on April 15, 1987. <br /> Center Oaks II development has requested that Park & Recreation make a <br /> decision as to whether they want the park dedication fee or land. <br /> Paschke made a motion that Park & Recreation would like to know the <br /> actual land value of the property, their rights concerning accepting <br /> the condition of the land given, and the status of asking for a split of <br /> land and money before they recommend a dicision, second by LeTendre, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> A motion was made by LeTendre that the Park & Recreation Commission <br /> appropriate $200.00 to Pelton for expenses incurred in drawing up the <br /> proposal for the master plan, second by Koch, motion carried unanimously. <br /> The preliminary April Park & Recreation agenda is as follows: <br /> - Review minutes from Council & P & Z <br /> - Financial report from treasurer <br /> - LAWCON report <br /> - Center Oaks II <br /> - Seedling program update <br /> - Master plan update <br /> Motion to adjourn at 10:30 P.M. by Pelton, second by Koch, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Cindy Paschke <br /> Secretary <br />
